Scott Sandover Allegedly Stabbed to Death in Baldivis by his partner Jane Bannister

A shocking incident took place in Baldivis, Perth’s southern outskirts, on Tuesday, September 9, 2025. A 49-year-old mechanic and father-of-two, Scott Sandover, was allegedly stabbed to death by his partner, 44-year-old Jane Demelza Bannister.

What Happened in Baldivis

Police were called to a house on Bramall Terrace around 6:40 pm. Officers found Mr. Sandover with critical injuries. He was taken to Rockingham Hospital, but doctors could not save him. Sadly, he was pronounced dead shortly after.

His partner, Jane Bannister, was arrested at the scene. She has been charged with murder.

Who Was Scott Sandover?

Scott Sandover was a well-known mechanic in Perth. He owned and operated O&C Mechanical for more than 10 years. His workshop provided car services across southern Perth.

Just three months ago, Bannister promoted Sandover’s business in a local Facebook group. She shared his business card and highlighted his experience, telling residents that he had more than 35 years of work in the field.

Friends and community members have shared tributes online. Many expressed support for his former partner and his two children.

Police Investigation

Police and forensic officers spent Wednesday at the Baldivis rental property, searching for evidence. Records show that Sandover had been living at the home for at least five years.

Bannister faced Perth Magistrates Court on Friday. She did not apply for bail and did not enter a plea. She has been remanded in custody and will appear again at Stirling Gardens Magistrates Court via video link on October 29.
