Who is Vivienne Lewis? Meet Tottenham’s Key Powerbrokers

A new chapter has begun at Tottenham Hotspur following the departure of Daniel Levy as executive chairman, a role he had held for nearly 25 years. The decision, made during the international break, was driven by the younger generation of the Lewis family, signaling their growing influence over the club.

Vivienne Lewis, daughter of Joe Lewis, has emerged as one of the most visible figures. At 63, she has been actively representing the family, attending the club’s pre-season tour to Hong Kong and South Korea, and sitting in the directors’ box during the Burnley clash. Vivienne serves as senior managing director and board member of Tavistock Group, which owns ENIC, while also overseeing the family’s golf estates in Florida and their private art collection.

Her brother Charles Lewis, also a Tavistock senior managing director, is expected to play a greater role at Spurs. Known for leading the Tavistock Restaurant Collection, he has overseen more than 150 restaurants across the Americas.

Another key figure is Nick Beucher, Vivienne’s son-in-law and husband of Joanna Beucher. As co-chief executive of Tavistock alongside Josh Levy, he is increasingly involved in Spurs’ strategic direction and is expected to be seen at future matches.

Supporting the family is Peter Charrington, recently appointed non-executive chairman of Tottenham. A long-time Lewis family adviser and former Citibank CEO, he now leads the board while CEO Vinai Venkatesham manages day-to-day operations.

Venkatesham reassured fans of stability, saying: “What Peter’s role is that he will be non-executive chairman, and that means he won’t be involved in the club on a full-time basis and he won’t be involved in the club on a day-to-day basis and his model is all around empowerment.”

This transition marks a significant change in Tottenham’s leadership, with Vivienne Lewis and her family now stepping firmly into the spotlight.
