Full List of Countries Recognizing Palestine as State
France has officially recognized the State of Palestine, joining a growing list of nations backing Palestinian statehood amid the war in Gaza. President Emmanuel Macron made the announcement at a high-level summit in New York, declaring, “The time for peace has come.”
At the same summit, co-hosted with Saudi Arabia, Belgium, Luxembourg, Malta, Andorra, and Monaco also confirmed their recognition of Palestine. Just a day earlier, the United Kingdom, Canada, Australia, and Portugal had declared similar support, marking a significant diplomatic shift.
This collective recognition adds momentum to mounting international calls for a two-state solution and a peaceful settlement of the Israel-Palestine conflict. According to the latest data, over 150 countries worldwide have now recognized the State of Palestine.
The full list of recognizing countries spans across Africa, Asia, Europe, the Americas, and Oceania, reflecting widespread global support. Recent additions between 2024 and 2025 include France, the UK, Canada, Australia, Portugal, Spain, Ireland, Norway, Barbados, Jamaica, and several other European and Caribbean nations.
The wave of recognitions underscores a critical moment in international diplomacy, as more states push for Palestinian sovereignty and lasting peace in the region.
