Infinite Coles Opens Up About Ghostface Killah, Identity, and Debut Album ‘SweetFace Killah’

Rapper Infinite Coles, the openly gay son of Wu-Tang Clan legend Ghostface Killah, has released two singles from his upcoming debut album SweetFace Killah, set to launch in December this year. The tracks, SweetFace Killah and Dad and I, delve into Coles’ strained relationship with his father, a subject that has shaped much of his emotional journey, according to People Magazine.

A report by Them revealed that Coles has not seen his father in over a decade, and their fractured bond continues to influence his music. The lyrics reflect the challenges Coles faced due to his queer identity, a point of conflict between father and son. Despite the deeply personal subject matter, Coles emphasized to a fan on X that the songs are not meant to “diss” his father.

Speaking exclusively to Vibe, Coles said, “With this album, I plan to really take off. I feel like it’s my time — something beautiful is headed my way. I feel like I stand out from lots of other artists, especially in my community, because I’m talking about things that I never hear anyone talk about…if no one will, then I will.”

Coles has also been candid about his personal struggles. In 2023, he posted a heartfelt Instagram message addressing his father directly, writing, “For many years, you made me hate myself until I developed the courage to snap the f** out of it…you’re a deadbeat to all of your kids…WHYYYY do you LOVE everyone but your kids?”*

The title of his debut album, SweetFace Killah, stems from a derogatory slur once directed at him online. “At some point, people were in my DMs calling me all types of names and ‘SweetFace Killah’ was one of them…It’s like the haters created an alter ego I never knew I needed,” Coles explained.

His songs also highlight themes of sexuality, identity, and authenticity, with both lyrics and visuals inspired by his lived experiences.
