Why YouTube Demonetized Kashif Majeed’s Channel? Main Reason Unveiled
Famous Pakistani YouTuber Kashif Majeed, known for teaching Fiverr, YouTube, and other online earning methods, revealed in a video on September 18 that his channel was demonetized by YouTube, sparking widespread discussion on social media.
Kashif, who has millions of subscribers and also operates multiple other YouTube channels, compared the demonetization to being fired from a job, saying it can cause financial difficulties for anyone.
In his recent video, he shared that receiving the demonetization notice from YouTube was a shock. “Just like being fired after seven years of hard work, the first question that comes to mind is: how will I manage expenses next month? How will I pay the electricity bill?” he said.
According to him, the issue came to light when earnings in his channel analytics dropped to zero. Upon checking his email, he learned that YouTube had demonetized his channel over “misleading content.” The platform alleged that the thumbnails of his videos contained specific earning claims (such as “earn this much daily”), which did not match the actual content.
Kashif admitted this mistake, stating, “I always kept my videos truthful, considering it my responsibility before God, but in the thumbnails, I wrote financial commitments to attract the audience, which turned out to be wrong.” Following the notice, he deleted or privatized 150 out of more than 400 videos, with YouTube also assisting in the process. After complying with the platform’s instructions and reapplying, his channel was re-monetized. He confirmed that his YouTube earnings have now been restored.
Kashif further emphasized that YouTubers should not depend entirely on YouTube for income. He advised having three to four alternative earning sources, adding that his own multiple income streams helped him avoid financial problems during the demonetization period.
