Ryanair Flight to Alicante Diverted to Toulouse After British Stag Group Arrested

29 September, 2025 14:15

A Ryanair flight from London Luton to Alicante was forced to divert to Toulouse, France, after a group of British stag party passengers caused chaos in the air. The incident led to dramatic arrests on board, with French police storming the aircraft to remove the unruly men.

Chaotic Scenes Before and During the Flight

Passenger Tania Nichols, who shared footage on TikTok, said the stag group was “loud and unruly” even before takeoff. They moved around the cabin, swapped seats, and ignored safety instructions.

One man reportedly tried to kiss a woman against her will, but crew quickly moved him back to his seat. Once in the air, the group began drinking duty-free alcohol and making inappropriate comments in front of children.

Nichols also claimed two men in the group fought each other, tearing shirts and clashing heads, while others spat on seats and put their feet on passengers’ headrests.

Pilot Orders Emergency Diversion

The behavior escalated to such an extent that the pilot announced an unscheduled landing in Toulouse. French police were called to meet the plane.

On arrival, officers boarded the aircraft and began removing the stag group.

Struggle With Police and Arrests

Footage showed officers trying to restrain one passenger who fought back violently, spilling into nearby rows. His son shouted at police, claiming his father was innocent, before also being removed.

Another man in a tracksuit was also arrested. Cheering broke out among passengers as the disruptive group was finally escorted off the plane.

Praise for Ryanair Crew

Witness Nichols praised the Ryanair cabin crew for staying calm and professional throughout the ordeal. She said they did everything possible to reassure passengers and manage the dangerous situation.

Ryanair’s Official Statement

In a statement, Ryanair confirmed the diversion: “This flight from London Luton to Alicante on 26 September diverted to Toulouse after a small group of passengers became disruptive onboard. Crew called ahead for police assistance, who met the aircraft upon landing and offloaded these passengers before the flight continued to Alicante. Ryanair has a strict zero tolerance policy towards passenger misconduct.”

The matter is now in the hands of French police.
