What did Joshua Block say about immigrants?

13 October, 2025 11:30

Social media influencer Joshua Block is once again in the spotlight after a video surfaced online showing him being assaulted following inflammatory remarks about immigrants. The incident reportedly occurred in Berkeley, California, and has rapidly gone viral across various platforms.

The footage, shared by user Fear Buck on X (formerly Twitter) on Monday, October 13, shows Block walking through a street corner while being followed by several individuals. He can be heard repeatedly stating: “I hate immigrants.” The provocative comment immediately drew backlash online and appears to have incited the altercation that followed.

In the video, a man in black is seen attempting to restrain Block, who repeatedly tries to avoid him. Tensions escalated quickly as Block was pulled onto the street, where he was struck multiple times by unidentified individuals. In a subsequent part of the video, he is seen being escorted away, visibly shaken, and yelling: “My nose is broken.”

Although Block tried to return to the scene, he was later shown entering a vehicle, continuing to scream from the front seat. As of now, Joshua Block has not issued a public statement regarding the incident, and further developments are awaited.

This is not the first time Block has courted controversy. Known primarily for his coffee review content and large following on platforms like TikTok and Instagram, the New York native has previously drawn criticism for his online behavior.

In March of last year, a video went viral on Reddit showing Block using the N-word twice in an altercation in New York City. He was recorded saying: “Fuing nia, I’ll fu**ing kill you.” A similar incident occurred during a livestream hosted by Mr. Based in September 2024, where Block’s repeated yelling prompted the streamer to end the session and publicly state that racism would not be tolerated.

Block has also come under fire in the past for a video in which he was seen stomping on a fish for nearly a minute. Following backlash, he apologized, claiming the fish was already dead and that his actions were an attempt to get himself “canceled.”

Despite his string of controversies, Block has managed to maintain a presence in the social media world. He has appeared in videos alongside creators like Daniel Larson and EvanTubeHD and was interviewed by Crispy Concords in 2023. His YouTube channel, which he started over a decade ago, includes music content and other lifestyle videos.

Currently, Joshua Block boasts over 400,000 followers on Instagram, though his recent behavior continues to spark debate online about accountability in influencer culture.
