Dubai unveils the world’s heaviest gold dress – check it out

Dubai, known for its luxury and creativity, has once again made headlines by unveiling the world’s heaviest gold dress, setting a new record in fashion and craftsmanship.

The stunning outfit, called the “Dubai Dress,” was showcased at the 56th Middle East Watch and Jewellery Show in Sharjah, UAE, where it was officially recognized by the Guinness World Records.

The dress is made up of four golden pieces and weighs a total of 10.0812 kilograms (over 10 kg). It is valued at around AED 4.6 million, which equals roughly $1.08 million USD or ₹9.5 to ₹11 crore, depending on the exchange rate.

Crafted from 21-carat gold and decorated with colorful precious stones, the masterpiece was designed by Al Romaizan Gold & Jewellery, a Saudi Arabia-based company.

The full set includes:

• A golden crown weighing 398 grams

• A statement necklace weighing 8.8106 kg

• A pair of earrings weighing 134.1 grams

• A traditional waist ornament, known as a “Hiyar,” weighing 738.5 grams

Creating this extraordinary piece took over 980 hours of continuous work by skilled artisans.

The design celebrates Emirati culture, with detailed carvings and patterns inspired by traditional heritage — blending artistry, history, and unmatched luxury in one breathtaking creation.
