The search for the world’s best burger has ended this year with Hundred Burgers from Spain taking the top spot. The restaurant, founded by Alex Gonzálex-Urbón and Ezequiel Maldjian, earned the title in the World’s 25 Best Burgers 2025 list, shared by foodandwine.com.

Their winning cheeseburger uses ground dry-aged beef and freshly baked brioche buns, all made in-house. Priced at €12.5 (around $14.72), it’s praised for its rich flavor, high-quality ingredients, and skilled preparation.

The World’s 25 Best Burgers list is part of a bigger review called the World’s 101 Best Steak Restaurants, created by Upper Cut Concepts in London. Restaurants are rated based on nine factors, including meat quality, ingredient sourcing, menu clarity, and the overall dining experience.

According to the review, the best burgers stand out for their use of aged beef, premium cuts, and carefully chosen toppings that enhance both taste and texture.

Leading Burger Spots Around the World

The 2025 rankings show a strong presence from London and the United States. Europe and the UK earned several top spots, followed by North America, Australia, Asia, the Middle East, and South America.

London proudly holds the second and third spots on the list:

• Bleecker Burger ranks second with its dry-aged beef patties, sesame bun, and simple yet flavorful toppings. Started by Zan Kaufman as a food truck, it has now grown into a chain of eight restaurants.

• Black Bear Burger, based in Exmouth Market, takes third place for its dry-aged patty with house sauce and a unique spice mix.

From the U.S., Sip & Guzzle in New York ranks 13th, Nowon in the East Village takes 15th, and The Loyalist in Chicago lands at 19th.

Across Valencia, London, and major U.S. cities, each restaurant showcases its own version of the burger—mixing local flavors with global inspiration to create the ultimate comfort food experience.
