NCCIA officers arrested of taking Rs9 million bribe from Aroob, wife of Ducky Bhai

LAHORE: The Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) has uncovered a major corruption network inside the National Cyber Crime Investigation Agency (NCCIA), arresting six senior officers accused of taking Rs 9 million in bribes to protect YouTube star Saad Ur Rehman, famously known as “Ducky Bhai,” and his wife from legal action.

According to FIA officials, those arrested include NCCIA officers Sarfaraz Chaudhry, Zawar Ahmed, Shoaib Riaz, Mujtaba Zafar, Muhammad Usman, and Ayaz Khan, along with two sub-inspectors and a civilian frontman. Investigators claim these officials misused their powers, taking bribes from people involved in cybercrime and online fraud cases.

Reports suggest that officer Shoaib Riaz transferred over $326,000 from Ducky Bhai’s Binance account to his own, while also collecting Rs 9 million from the YouTuber’s family with help from intermediaries. The FIA believes the money was shared among top officials, exposing serious corruption within the NCCIA.

Ducky Bhai, one of Pakistan’s most famous YouTubers, had been detained for months on charges of promoting illegal gambling apps that caused financial losses to many Pakistanis.

The FIA report stated that he earned large sums through these activities, with Rs 21 million already recovered from his bank accounts.

The arrested officers will be presented in court in Lahore, where the FIA will request physical remand to continue investigations. The case has sparked outrage across social media and the law enforcement community, highlighting the need for stricter oversight in Pakistan’s cybercrime units.

The next hearing is scheduled for November 3, 2025, when Ducky Bhai’s wife, Aroob Jatoi, is also expected to appear in court. She currently holds interim bail until November 6.
