What Happened to Young Bleed? Family Addresses Death Claims as Rapper Battles Health Crisis

Baton Rouge rapper Young Bleed, whose real name is Glenn Clifton Jr, is currently fighting for his life after suffering a brain aneurysm. Conflicting reports initially claimed the Louisiana-born artist had passed away, but his family and close friends have firmly denied these rumours, confirming that he remains alive and under intensive care.

According to Young Bleed’s mother, she has received numerous condolence messages and calls from fans who mistakenly believed the false news of her son’s death. She urged the public to stop circulating misinformation and to respect the family’s privacy during this critical time.

The rapper’s sister, Tedra, also addressed the situation in a passionate statement on social media, clarifying her brother’s condition:

“THIS WILL BE MY FIRST AND LAST POST. WE ARE RECEIVING A TREMENDOUS AMOUNT OF CALLS ABOUT MY BIG BROTHER GLENN, TANK, YOUNG BLEED. IF YOU HAVE NOT CALLED HIS MOTHER PERSONALLY, PLEASE DO NOT POST ABOUT HIM. OUR FAMILY ASKS THAT YOU RESPECT OUR PRIVACY AND HOLD ALL CALLS AND TEXTS AT THIS TIME. HE IS STILL CURRENTLY IN ICU AND HIS MOTHER ASKED IF YOU ALL WOULD RESPECT HER WISHES AND NOT MAKE ANY RIP POSTS.”

The family confirmed that Young Bleed remains in the ICU, receiving constant medical supervision as doctors monitor his condition. Members of the hip-hop community have extended their support, keeping the rapper in their thoughts and prayers.

The medical emergency occurred shortly after Young Bleed delivered an energetic performance at ComplexCon on October 25, 2025, and made an appearance at the No Limit–Cash Money Versuz Las Vegas event, where fans joined in singing his classic hit “How Ya Do Dat.”

Rapper and entrepreneur Master P also shared a heartfelt message on social media, confirming the situation and urging unity and compassion within the community:

As of now, Young Bleed continues his battle for recovery, with family and fans hoping for positive news from the hospital.
