Who Is Norman Taylor of Crewe Tractor? Charges & Arrest Details

29 October, 2025 10:12

Internet personality Norman Taylor, known online as Mr. Taylor, is reportedly facing allegations following a viral incident that occurred in Crewe, Virginia. Court records from Nottoway General District Court indicate that Taylor was allegedly arrested on October 27, 2025, for sexual battery, with the incident said to have occurred on October 24, 2025. The authenticity of the arrest and viral mugshot has not been independently verified.

Taylor gained attention online for a viral encounter in August 2025 when content creator Bird28thegr8 and a friend were fishing at a pond in Crewe. The two were approached by Taylor, who asked if they had permission to fish on the property, which he said was owned by his son, Trey Taylor. When Bird28thegr8 replied that he believed it was state property, Taylor instructed them to “hit the road.”

The incident went viral due to Taylor’s repeated use of the phrase “lock ’em up,” which was initially directed by his son Trey over the phone. Netizens reacted with mixed responses—some criticizing perceived racial undertones, while others found Taylor’s accent and phrasing humorous. The video inspired multiple parody clips across social media.

In response, Trey Taylor, who created a TikTok account for Crewe Tractor and Equipment Co. in September 2025, addressed the viral video, emphasizing respect and decency in interactions. He stated, “Unfortunately, this whole situation has been considered a race issue. That’s not me, my family, or my business. It’s become way bigger than a property dispute… Let’s shake hands, let’s become friends. Let’s put this whole thing behind us, and everybody move on and live a respectful life.” His apology video garnered over 8 million views.

Trey also clarified that no charges were filed against the content creator and denied rumors of legal action by his family. Norman Taylor has since appeared in videos meeting with visitors, though as of now, Trey has not commented on the alleged arrest.

The viral “lock ’em up” video and subsequent legal allegations continue to generate online discussion, and updates on the situation are pending.
