Senegalese-American music sensation Akon has officially landed in India, much to the delight of his fans. The Grammy-nominated artist, known worldwide for chart-toppers like Smack That and Lonely, has kicked off his India Tour 2025, beginning with Delhi as his first stop. However, what caught everyone’s attention was his arrival with wife Tomeka Thiam, amid ongoing rumours surrounding their marriage.

On Saturday night, Akon and Tomeka were spotted walking together at the Delhi airport, dressed in matching black outfits and exuding effortless style. Accompanied by Akon’s team, the couple greeted waiting paparazzi with warm smiles. When asked about his return to India, Akon responded with a laugh, saying, “It’s been a long flight; I’m tired.” Tomeka added cheerfully, “India, we love you!”

Tomeka Thiam, born in 1975 in the United States, has largely maintained a private life despite being married to one of the world’s most popular music stars. The two reportedly met in Georgia when Akon was 20 and Tomeka 18, introduced through her brother. They have a daughter named Journey, born in 2007.

Despite reports that Tomeka filed for divorce in September, their recent public appearance suggested a cordial relationship.

Akon’s India Tour 2025 will continue in Bengaluru on November 14 and conclude in Mumbai on November 16 at the NESCO Centre, Goregaon, featuring his biggest hits along with fresh surprises for fans.
