Who is Usman Mukhtar? Facts You Need To Know About Your Favorite Star’s Life

Pakistani actor and filmmaker Usman Mukhtar has always been admired for his talent and calm personality, but his life story carries many layers fans rarely get to see. Born on 27 July 1985 in Rawalpindi, Usman grew up in a family connected to the entertainment industry. His mother, Nasira, was a well-known actress famous for her negative roles in films, but she left acting soon after marriage to focus on her family.

Usman, along with his elder sister, was raised by their mother and grandfather Mukhtar Ahmed Anwar. His childhood, however, came with challenges. Because of his mischievous nature, his family sent him to boarding school, where he completed his early education at Jinnah Army Public. Speaking about this phase, Usman shared that he was very young when he was sent away, yet he holds no anger towards his mother for the decision, calling it a difficult but understandable part of life.

Although Usman always dreamed of becoming a film director, his family did not support the idea. Encouraged to choose a different path, he studied journalism instead of filmmaking. Today, he balances both acting and direction successfully.

In recent years, Usman has chosen to work mostly in Islamabad so he can stay close to his mother, who is bedridden and suffering from dementia. He revealed that he avoids long work schedules away from home, saying he wants to be available for her at all times.

Usman Mukhtar is married to Zunairah Inam, a highly educated and career-driven woman with a PhD from abroad. The couple is now blessed with a daughter. Reflecting on fatherhood, Usman shared that his own father was strict, and “he will never repeat the same thing that his father used to do.”

He also recalled how heartbreaking it was when his mother left him at the hostel for the first time, saying he could not believe she had actually walked away.
