Cloudflare Down as Thousands Report Connection Issues
Cloudflare experienced a major outage, causing thousands of websites to run into connection problems. Users of platforms like X, Substack, and Canva were among those affected.
According to Downdetector, many people reported receiving “500 internal server error” messages while trying to access different websites. The outage happened during Cloudflare’s scheduled maintenance.
Cloudflare later confirmed that it had identified and resolved the issue, but the disruption caused significant inconvenience. Within minutes, more than 4,000 outage reports were logged on Downdetector, though experts say the real number of affected users is much higher. Some people even said they were unable to open Downdetector itself because of the outage.
This comes just weeks after another major Cloudflare outage affected millions of internet users worldwide. Since Cloudflare powers a large portion of the global internet infrastructure, even a brief disruption can cause widespread problems.
This is a developing story, and updates will be shared as more information becomes available.
