New prediction says the world could end on this date
A surprising prediction made almost 65 years ago by American scientist Heinz von Foerster is getting attention again. According to his calculation, the world will end next year on Friday, November 13, 2026.
In 1960, von Foerster wrote a research paper in which he warned that the world’s population was growing too fast. He used a mathematical model and said that if the population kept increasing at the same speed, it would reach a point called a “singularity.”
This means the number would go to an infinite limit, which is impossible in real life. According to him, this point would arrive on November 13, 2026.
He believed that if the population continued to grow without control, humanity could destroy itself. This destruction could happen because of overpopulation, lack of resources, nuclear war, or other dangerous actions by humans.
Von Foerster also suggested ways to avoid this disaster. He said countries should take steps to control population growth, such as placing heavy taxes on families with many children. These measures, he believed, could reduce the risk of a global collapse.
Experts today say that his prediction was not meant to be taken as an exact doomsday date. Instead, von Foerster wanted to warn the world about the dangers of unchecked population growth. Some reports even say that he chose November 13 partly as a light joke because it was his own birthday.
Even though the prediction is not scientifically accepted as a real threat, it has restarted discussions about sustainability, resource management, and how humans impact the planet.
