Who is Milana Vayntrub? Actor Raises $500,000 to Support Los Angeles Wildfire Victims

11 December, 2025 15:41

Actress Milana Vayntrub has shared her efforts to assist victims of the devastating Los Angeles wildfires in early 2025, successfully raising $500,000 through an innovative fundraising campaign. She announced the milestone on Instagram on December 8, 2025, explaining that her initiative began after helping a local woman named Bridget. Following the success of the campaign, Vayntrub partnered with Only Philanthropy to expand her support for families affected by the fires.

Born in Tashkent, Milana moved to the United States with her family in 1990. She grew up in Southern California and attended the University of California, San Diego, where she majored in communication and theater. With a background in improv and sketch comedy, she began acting at a young age and gained widespread recognition for her role as “Lily Adams” in AT&T commercials, which aired from 2013 to 2020. Vayntrub has also appeared in television shows such as This Is Us, Silicon Valley, Other Space, and had a small role in Ghostbusters.

Creative Fundraising Efforts

Through Only Philanthropy, Vayntrub raised more than $500,000 by selling “flirty pictures,” demonstrating a creative approach to charitable giving. In her Instagram post, she wrote,

“We’ve raised over half a million dollars together this year. Now let’s grow this into something bigger, stranger, more powerful, with more creators jumping in.”

She encouraged her fans and fellow performers to get involved, asking,

“Who do you think should run the next @onlyphilanthropy fundraiser? Tag them here! Heart the ones you agree with! I’ll do my best to bring them on board!”

Vayntrub’s charitable work began by helping a single mother named Bridget, raising $170,000 to support her and her disabled son who were impacted by the fires. The funds were used for in-home medical care and housing assistance during the crisis. Bridget expressed her gratitude, saying,

“It was the first time in a long time I felt seen, like someone actually cared that we were still here, still fighting.”

Building on this success, Milana also contributed to the Altadena-based organization My Tribe Rise, raising an additional $350,000 through Only Philanthropy. Her efforts highlight the power of innovative fundraising and the positive impact of celebrity-led initiatives on communities affected by disasters.
