Hollywood actor, director, and political activist Rob Reiner and his wife, photographer Michele Singer Reiner, were found dead in their Brentwood home on Sunday afternoon in what the Los Angeles Police Department (LAPD) is investigating as a possible homicide.

The couple, aged 78 and 68 respectively, were discovered by a family member who visited their residence. According to multiple law enforcement sources, both victims appeared to have sustained wounds consistent with a knife attack, though the LAPD has not officially confirmed the cause of death.

Officers responded to a medical aid request from the Los Angeles Fire Department shortly after 3:30 p.m. local time at the Reiners’ home on Chadbourne Avenue. Both were pronounced dead at the scene.
