US Justice Department Uncovers Over One Million Additional Epstein-Related Documents

The US Justice Department has discovered more than one million additional documents potentially linked to convicted s*x offender Jeffrey Epstein, a development that is expected to delay the full public release of records for several weeks as officials work to redact sensitive information to protect victims.

The discovery comes as President Donald Trump’s administration continues releasing files connected to criminal investigations involving Epstein, the late American financier who maintained social ties with Trump during the 1990s. The document release follows a law passed by Congress last month mandating disclosure.

The legislation, approved by both Republicans and Democrats despite objections from Trump, requires all Epstein-related documents to be released by December 19. The law allows for limited redactions to safeguard victims’ identities and personal details.

So far, the released documents have included extensive redactions, prompting criticism from some Republican lawmakers and failing to quell controversy that now threatens the party ahead of the 2026 midterm elections.

In a statement shared on social media Wednesday, the Justice Department said the FBI and the US Attorney’s Office in Manhattan had uncovered more than one million additional documents that could be connected to Epstein. Officials did not provide details on when or how the documents were located.

“We have lawyers working around the clock to review and make the legally required redactions to protect victims, and we will release the documents as soon as possible,” the department said. “Due to the mass volume of material, this process may take a few more weeks.”

The Justice Department emphasized that the review process is necessary to ensure compliance with the law while preventing further harm to victims connected to the case.
