Nicole Kidman appears to be looking ahead as she welcomes the New Year after her reported separation from Keith Urban.

On Thursday, January 1, the 58-year-old actress shared a rare family moment on her Instagram Stories, capturing Sydney Harbour’s fireworks in the background. “Looking forward to 2026 xx,” she captioned the post.

In the snapshot, Kidman is seen side-hugging her two daughters as they gaze at the fireworks together.

The update follows reports of an awkward encounter between Kidman and her ex-husband during Christmas 2025, according to Radar Online. An insider revealed that the actress set aside her feelings toward Urban to ensure their daughters enjoyed the holidays.

“She’s able to compartmentalise to create some happy moments; they’ve been glued to Nicole’s side, and they won’t want to be apart from her for the holidays, so Nicole plans to spend time as a family with Keith,” the source said.

It is worth noting that Nicole Kidman and Keith Urban reportedly ended their 19-year marriage in September 2025 due to “irreconcilable differences.”
