Splitsvilla 16: Who Are Tayne De Villiers’ Exes? Fighter Opens Up About Dating Two Former Splitsvillans

MTV Splitsvilla has returned with a fresh and high-voltage season, reigniting excitement among reality TV fans. Splitsvilla 16, officially titled Splitsvilla X6: Pyaar Ya Paisa, premiered on Friday, January 9, 2026, at 7:00 p.m. IST. The season began with the introduction of 16 contestants housed in the Pyaar Villa, evenly divided between eight men and eight women. Another set of 16 contestants, who will reside in the Paisa Villa, is set to be revealed in the following episode. From the very first day, the show witnessed the formation of early connections, rivalries, and alliances.

One of the standout contestants in the opening episode was Tayne De Villiers, a 25-year-old professional fighter from South Africa. Tayne quickly became a fan favourite and was voted among the female favourites of the Pyaar Villa. Even before entering the villa, he caught attention after sharing a photo highlighting his striking green eyes with the female contestants.

In his introductory video diary, Tayne spoke candidly about his past relationships, revealing that he had previously dated two former Splitsvilla contestants, experiences he described as emotionally difficult. Addressing his past, Tayne said:
“I’ve dated two Splitsvillans and both of them have turned out to be walking red carpets. So, I’ve decided to come to Splitsvilla myself and find my one true connection.”

One of Tayne’s former partners is Nikita Bhamidipati, who appeared in Splitsvilla 13. Their relationship, though brief, was highly publicised. The two reportedly met in Bali months before participating in Temptation Island. They entered the show together in November 2023 to test their bond, citing trust issues and compatibility concerns. However, their relationship ended during a mid-week bonfire episode when Nikita chose to explore a connection with another contestant, Jad Hadid. Following the show, Nikita confirmed her relationship with Jad, while Tayne acknowledged that he had moved on.

Reports later suggested that Tayne was also linked to Kat Kristen, another former Splitsvilla contestant and a contemporary of Nikita. The two were rumoured to have dated in early 2024 and were seen collaborating on professional projects, including a fashion campaign. By mid-2025, speculation about their breakup surfaced, though neither confirmed the relationship publicly.

Now entering Splitsvilla X6, Tayne De Villiers has once again sparked curiosity among fans, who are eager to see whether the fighter will finally find a genuine connection on the show.
