‘Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai’ Fame, Navika Kotia Announces Engagement With Mazen Mody

Navika Kotia, renowned for her dual roles on the hit TV show Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai, is making headlines with her recent engagement announcement. The actress shared a heartfelt proposal video on her Instagram, confirming her engagement to boyfriend Mazen Mody. Describing the moment as “the most special surprise ever,” Navika revealed how Mazen orchestrated a dreamy proposal in a snow-covered mountain setting, complete with red roses, a cake reading “Navika, I love you,” and a backdrop of rose petals forming a giant heart with the words “Marry Me.”

On January 9, 2026, Navika’s engagement to real estate developer Mazen Mody became public. In the Instagram video, Navika was seen in a pink dress and blindfolded as Mazen, dressed in a black suit, knelt to propose, adding a romantic and personal touch to the celebration.

Earlier, in November 2025, Navika had shared with The Mirror that the engagement was planned for January 2026. She revealed that the couple had recently conducted a Gud Dhana ceremony, a traditional baat pakki ritual performed by Jains, at Mazen’s home in Pune. Navika explained:
“Our Roka/engagement will be in January. We recently had our Gud Dhana ceremony, which is a baat pakki ritual that Jains do. We kept it very personal and lowkey, just our parents and a small, cute, wholesome ceremony. We haven’t decided on the wedding date yet, maybe a year or two later.”

Navika also shared that her relationship with Mazen was arranged. She recounted:
“It was an arranged marriage. We had been friends for about a year after meeting through a mutual friend. Mazen’s mom called my mom around Diwali this year and asked for my hand in marriage. I always wanted to go for an arranged marriage, so I was glad, though I didn’t expect it to happen so soon. Things moved very quickly, but I’m truly grateful to have found this blessing in my life. I couldn’t have asked for a better companion or a more loving family.”

Expressing her joy about the new chapter in her life, Navika said:
“Finding the right partner is definitely difficult, but through this experience, I’ve come to truly believe that matches are made in heaven. After Mazen’s mom called my mom, I did have my doubts, but after taking some time, I finally said yes, because everything just felt right. It still hasn’t completely sunk in, but I’m genuinely very excited for this new beginning.”
