Met Office predicts rain across different areas of country - check details
ISLAMABAD: The Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) has forecast rainfall and dust storms in several parts of the country from June 16 to June 20 due to a westerly weather system affecting the upper regions.
According to the forecast, Islamabad, Rawalpindi, Murree, Galliyat, Attock, Chakwal, Jhelum, Lahore and other areas of Punjab are expected to experience dust storms and rain during this period.
In Kashmir and Gilgit-Baltistan, scattered rainfall is likely from June 18 to June 22, with occasional breaks.
Khyber Pakhtunkhwa is also expected to receive rain along with dust and windstorms from June 16 to June 20. Some areas may also experience heavy rain or hailstorms.
In Balochistan, dust storms and rainfall are expected in northern and northeastern districts including Zhob, Sherani, Ziarat, Kohlu, Naseerabad, Quetta, Qillah Saifullah, Qillah Abdullah, Harnai, Sibi, Barkhan, Khuzdar, and Dera Bugti.
Upper Sindh districts such as Sukkur, Larkana, Jacobabad, Khairpur, Dadu, Ghotki, Kashmore, Shikarpur, and Shaheed Benazirabad may also see dust storms and rainfall. Light rain with dust storms is likely in coastal areas, including Karachi.
The Met Office has advised citizens to stay cautious during strong winds and stormy conditions.
