PMD forecasts hot and dry weather across most parts of country

ISLAMABAD: The Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) has forecast mainly hot and dry weather across most parts of the country during the next 24 hours. Very hot conditions are expected in the plain areas.

However, some upper regions may receive rain and thunderstorms during the afternoon.

In Islamabad and nearby areas, the weather is expected to remain hot and dry with partly cloudy skies.

Most districts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa are likely to experience hot and dry weather. However, isolated rain and thunderstorms may occur in Dir, Swat, Kohistan, Abbottabad, Mansehra, and Parachinar.

Punjab is also expected to remain hot and dry. However, areas including Murree, Galiyat, Jhelum, Lahore, Sheikhupura, Sialkot, Narowal, and nearby regions may receive rain and thunderstorms during the afternoon.

In Sindh, weather conditions will remain mainly hot and dry, with very hot temperatures expected in upper and central districts. Coastal areas may experience strong dusty winds.

Balochistan is also likely to remain hot and dry. Central districts may face very hot weather, while coastal areas could witness dust-raising gusty winds.

The PMD said Kashmir is expected to experience partly cloudy weather with isolated rain and thunderstorms. Gilgit-Baltistan is likely to remain partly cloudy to dry.
