Meanwhile, All Parties Hurriyet Conference leader Abdul Hameed Lone has welcomed the request of Debbie Abrahams with regard to convening meeting of the UN Security Council on the Kashmir issue.
In a statement, he said India is committing genocide of innocent Kashmiris through fake encounters.
He urged the Security Council and OIC to play positive and proactive role on the Kashmir issue.
Moreover, Hurriyat leader Jahangir Ghani Butt has said that India is responsible for the threat of a looming war in the region.
He said this, while addressing a gathering in Srinagar.
Furthermore, he said India’s inability to address the seven-decade old Kashmir dispute has brought South Asia to the brink of war.
He said many powerful countries of the world offered to mediate on the Kashmir issue but India gave a cold response.
He called Indian response unacceptable and noted India’s abrogating Article 370 amounts to rejection of both UN resolutions and bilateral agreements.
Jahangir Ghani Butt urged the world leaders and institutions to realize that the purposeful solution of Kashmir is only going to save the South Asian region.
