Zalmay Khalilzad reminds Taliban continuous violence will threaten peace process. 

In a tweet , US Special Representative for Afghanistan Reconciliation Zalmay Khalilzad reacted to violence.

He stressed for strict adherence to the US-Taliban peace deal and the commitment to reduce violence in the country.

In a tweet following the latest clashes in different parts of Afghanistan, Zalmay  said continuous violence will threaten peace process.

On the other hand, Pakistan and Afghanistan leaders are holding meetings to strengthen bilateral ties.

Recently, Afghan leader Abdullah Abdullah had visited Pakistan.

Now, Hezb e Islami leader Gulbuddin Hekmatyar is visiting Pakistan.

It seems Afghan leaders are strengthening their regional interaction.

The day when Hekmatyar was coming to Pakistan, Abdullah Abdullah was visiting Iran.

He called on Iranian President Dr Rouhani.

Keeping in view these developments, nations in the region hope good news regarding peaceful settlement of Afghanistan crisis.

However, Afghan nation also want U.S. troops pullout. But many want an organized pullout so that no vacuum created for past to return the country.

Earlier, Foreign office spokesperson said in a press release that Hekmatyar leads a delegation during his visit.

The visit of Gulbuddin Hekmatyar’s visit provides an opportunity for exchange of views on the Afghan peace process.

Moreover, the visit signals strengthening of Pakistan-Afghanistan bilateral relations and people-to-people interaction.
