Palestinian Authority rejects Israel and US dictation to cancel elections.
Palestinian Authority President Mahmoud Abbas has outright turned down cancelling or postponing the Palestinian general elections.
According to Palestinian Khabar news agency report, the Israel and the US fears that Hamas would win the parliamentary election.

Palestinian sources told the news Agency that Israel and US remain scared of May 22 elections.
However, the sources noted it “request” which came in light of the growing schism in Abbas’s ruling Fatah faction.
Meanwhile, as per schedule, the election for the PA presidency will take place on July 31.
On the other hand, fourteen different Palestinian factions on Tuesday signed an agreement to abide by an electoral honor code in the upcoming Palestinian elections.
The Palestinian factions made this pledge in a statement following negotiations in Cairo.
They vowed on conducting the electoral process in all its stages with transparency and integrity.
The last presidential election held in 2005, when Abbas was elected to a four-year term.
The last parliamentary election, held in 2006, resulted in a Hamas victory.
But, U.S.-led entire Western bloc refused to accept Palestinians mandate.
They imposed sanctions and blackmailed the entire world to stay away from Hamas government.
Palestinians detest the U.S. unqualified support to Israel and EU’s inaction against Israeli crimes against humanity in occupied Palestine.
Moreover, they also detest United Nations Security Council over its failure to rid Palestinians of Israeli squatting and attacks.
