Saudi Arabia Welcomes Pakistan‑Afghanistan Border Peace Deal
Riyadh: Saudi Arabia has welcomed the newly signed agreement between Pakistan and Afghanistan aimed at ending border tensions.
The Kingdom’s foreign ministry expressed support for the ceasefire and the establishment of a mechanism to promote lasting peace and stability between the neighbouring countries.
In its statement, Saudi Arabia also reaffirmed its commitment to all regional and international efforts that promote peace and security, saying it will continue supporting initiatives for the “brotherly peoples of Pakistan and Afghanistan.”
The ministry said the agreement represents a positive step towards easing the ongoing border disputes and that Saudi Arabia hopes the move will lead to the permanent de‑escalation of tensions.
