Iran Arrests Israeli-Linked Terror Ringleader in Major Nationwide Security Crackdown

Iran has announced a series of large-scale counterterrorism operations, resulting in the arrest of a key separatist militant leader allegedly linked to Israel.

According to a statement issued by Iran’s Intelligence Ministry, the arrested individual is described as a senior commander of a separatist terrorist organization responsible for multiple assassinations and bomb attacks in cities across Khuzestan Province. The suspect was apprehended through coordinated efforts between intelligence units in Khuzestan and Isfahan, alongside national police forces.

Officials also confirmed that 11 additional members of the same network had been detained over the past two months. Meanwhile, five militants were killed during armed confrontations with security forces.

In a separate operation, Iranian authorities intercepted two weapon smuggling groups entering from Iraq’s Kurdistan region. These groups were allegedly planning attacks in Khuzestan and Kermanshah provinces. Intelligence tracking led to the arrest of those involved and the seizure of 42 firearms.

Further investigations uncovered four terrorist cells linked to American-Israeli intelligence networks operating in Gilan, Kerman, Hamadan, and Hormozgan provinces. These groups were reportedly equipped with firearms, improvised explosive devices (IEDs), and surveillance tools. A total of 10 suspects were arrested during these operations.

Additionally, authorities detained 20 individuals accused of being associated with media and propaganda networks linked to Israel, including connections to the “Iran International” outlet. These arrests took place in Hormozgan, Hamadan, and Kerman.

Iranian officials stated that these operations highlight ongoing efforts to counter threats posed by militant and intelligence-linked groups within the country.
