Iranian Judiciary Says 10 Alleged Mossad Agents Sentenced in West Azerbaijan

The head of the judiciary in West Azerbaijan Province, Nasser Atabati, announced that 480 individuals suspected of links to hostile actors were arrested in the province during what Iranian authorities described as US-Israeli aggression. According to Atabati, 10 of those detained were identified as agents of Israel’s intelligence agency, Mossad.

Speaking at a press conference ahead of Judiciary Week, Atabati said judicial rulings had been issued against the 10 individuals accused of espionage activities. He added that the province’s judicial system remained fully operational throughout the period of conflict, continuing to provide services without interruption.

The judiciary official also commented on security conditions in the province, describing West Azerbaijan as one of Iran’s most stable regions during unrest reported across the country earlier this year
