Iran Says Talks With U.S. Secured Commitment to Lebanon Ceasefire

An Iranian delegation engaged in talks with the United States over the implementation of a recently signed memorandum of understanding has claimed a significant diplomatic achievement, saying it successfully pressed Washington to ensure the continuation of a halt in hostilities against Lebanon. The discussions began in Switzerland on Saturday and remain ongoing.
In a statement released on Monday, the delegation’s media committee described the development as one of five major outcomes achieved so far during the negotiations. Iranian representatives said the issue of maintaining stability in Lebanon was a key priority in the talks and that progress had been made in securing U.S. assurances on the matter.
The negotiations come amid broader efforts to address regional tensions and implement the terms of the new agreement between Tehran and Washington. While details of the memorandum and the reported commitments have not been fully disclosed, both sides are expected to continue discussions as they work toward further diplomatic and security understandings.
