Iran’s Army, IRGC Spokespersons Pledge United Front Against ‘Terrorist’ Designation Efforts

The spokespersons for Iran’s Army and the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) held a joint meeting in Tehran on Tuesday to strengthen media coordination and reaffirm the unity of the country’s armed forces. Brigadier General Mohammad Akraminia and Brigadier General Hossein Mohabi discussed ways to improve media cooperation and address common communication challenges.
During the meeting, the Iranian Army expressed support for the IRGC in response to what it described as “malicious and hostile actions” by certain countries seeking to designate the force as a terrorist organization. The two officials stressed the importance of presenting a unified account of the armed forces’ activities and agreed that their key message was the solidarity of Iran’s military institutions around the principles of “Islam, revolution, and the country.”
The meeting came amid heightened regional tensions and ongoing international pressure on the IRGC. Iranian officials said closer coordination between the Army and the IRGC would strengthen public messaging and demonstrate unity in the face of external political and diplomatic challenges, including efforts by some governments to label the IRGC a terrorist entity.
