Coronavirus kills 148 more people across Pakistan during last 24 hours.

As per official figures, 4044 new coronavirus cases have surfaced in the country over the last twenty-four hours, taking the total tally to 192,970.

81,307 patients have so far recovered from the disease.

The death toll from the virus stands at 3903 with 148 deaths reported over the last twenty-four hours.

21,835 corona tests carried out during this period.

Province wise data of total cases reported so far had it: 71191 in Punjab, 74070 in Sindh, 23887 in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, 9817 in Balochistan, 11710 in Islamabad, 1365 in Gilgit-Baltistan and 930 in Azad Kashmir.

Meanwhile, Prime Minister approved launch of Corona Relief Tiger Force mobile application.

The PM made this approval during a meeting with his Special Assistant on Youth Affairs Usman Dar who called on him in Islamabad on Wednesday.

Special Assistant on Youth Affairs Usman Dar briefed the prime minister on how digital technology could contribute in the effective functioning of the Tiger Force.

The Tiger Force application, which will contain the feature for geo-tagging, will help in the smooth running of the team.

The prime minister while expressing satisfaction over the effective use of Tigers Force through digital technology said that youth were asset of the country and their passion for serving the nation was praiseworthy.
