AJK President calls for unity of Muslims against forces of division.
President Azad Jammu and Kashmir Sardar Masood Khan expressed these views during a meeting with Prof. Dr. Muhammad Zia-ul-Haq, Director General Islamic Research Institute, International Islamic University in Islamabad today (Friday).
AJK President calls for unity of Muslims
He said that despite being the oppressed, a major chunk of the Muslim population has adopted a defensive posture about Islam, Kashmir and Palestine.
The AJK president said that the Muslim world has to unite against forces trying to create a divide amongst their ranks.
Furthermore, he emphasised that Muslims have to take the lead and resolve long standing issues plaguing the Muslim Ummah.
Notably, he referred to the issues of Palestine and Kashmir.
Sardar Masood called for resolving these issues through political conflict resolution mechanisms provided to us in the Sunnah of the Holy Prophet Muhammad (PBUH).
On the other hand, the Chairman of Kashmir Council Europe, Ali Raza Syed, has strongly condemned the brutal murder of a civilian, Bashir Ahmad Khan, in front of his 3-year-old grandson in occupied Kashmir.
In a statement in Brussels, he deplored this ruthless act of Indian state terrorism which Indian troops perpterated in Sopore town.
Moreover, he urged the international community to conduct an international independent investigation under supervision of the UN into the crimes perpetrated by Indian forces in the occupied territory.
