Nine people injured in a bomb blast in Chaman border town in Qilla Abdullah district on Monday.

 

According to security officials, injured were shifted to a nearby hospital.

An additional contingent of police officials arrived at Mall Road and started investigation.

On the other hand,  the process of voluntary repatriation of Afghan refugees from Khyber Pakhtunkhwa to Afghanistan resumed today.

A spokesman of UNHCR Qaiser Afridi said have set up a repatriation center at Azakhel district Nowshera to register refugees who want to go back to Afghanistan.

The spokesman said they will register refugees at the center on Monday and Tuesday only.

He said that UNHCR is providing about two hundred dollars to each Afghan refugee in the encashment centers after settlement in Afghanistan.

On Sunday, Pakistan welcomed the Afghan Loya Jirga’s recommendation to release remaining 400 prisoners.

In a statement on Sunday, Foreign Office Spokesperson Zahid Hafeez Chaudhri expressed these views.

He said Pakistan hopes that with implementation of this step relating to the prisoners’ release the Intra-Afghan negotiations will commence at the earliest as envisaged in the US-Taliban Peace Agreement.

Furthermore, he said Pakistan has repeatedly emphasized that the Afghan leaders must seize this historic opportunity.

Pakistan urged them to work together constructively through Intra-Afghan negotiations to secure a comprehensive, broad-based and inclusive political settlement in Afghanistan.
