Around 4000 new cases of Coronavirus reported during last 24 hours across the country.

According to the latest statistics, 39 more people died of the virus.

The NCOC reported 3,499 new cases of Coronavirus after the tests of 42,904.

However, the figure of patients recovered from the virus has reached 346,951.

Now, the government confirms 51,654 active cases in the country.

On Wednesday, Special Assistant to the Prime Minister on National Health Services, Dr Faisal Sultan said that the government has decided to observe ‘COVID-19 standard operating procedures (SOPs) compliance week.’

He said they would observe SOPs week from December 5-12 to create awareness about the importance of Corona safety measures to protect citizens.

He said this, while briefing the media at National Command and Operation Center (NCOC).

Dr Faisal said that people should follow SOPs like social distancing, hand sanitizing or washing, wearing of face mask etc.

Meanwhile, NCOC head Asad Umar lamented people were not supporting the government in the second wave of the COVID-19 pandemic.

Minister for Planning and Development Asad Umar said people are assuming that coronavirus was not a danger for them.

He also urged the opposition to take the situation of coronavirus seriously in the country.

Asad Umar said the court had ordered to implement all standard operating procedures (SOPs) for controlling coronavirus spreading.
