Ban on 4G internet service in Indian occupied Jammu and Kashmir

According to KMS, 4G internet service remains suspended in IIOJK since August 05, 2019.

Narendra Modi-led fascist Indian government imposed it when it revoked special status of territory and placed it under military siege.

On the other hand, Private Schools Association of IIOJK has filed a writ petition before Indian Supreme Court.

They are seeking restoration of 4G internet service in occupied territory.

The Modi regime has not restored the service despite repeated calls from Hurriyat leaders, political activists and several international organizations working for rights of common people and journalists.

They are making this demand to enable residents of the territory to deal with an unprecedented situation caused by the coronavirus pandemic.

Black Day on India’s Republic Day on January 26

Meanwhile, the All Parties Hurriyat Conference has appealed to the people to observe India’s Republic Day on January 26 as Black Day.

According to a statement, they asked them to protest against New Delhi’s continued denial of their right to self-determination.

The APHC spokesman in Srinagar slammed India.

He further said that India’s claim of being a democratic country is a farce and the fact is that it is a fascist and imperialist state.

Moreover, he accused India of using all inhuman, illegal and undemocratic tactics and committing war crimes to perpetuate its illegal hold on the occupied territory.

Meanwhile, APHC leader and the Chairman of Social Peace Forum, Devinder Singh Behl, spoke to people during a mass awareness campaign.

In Seri Bhag Bani area of Jammu, he deplored that India is using cheap tactics to suppress the Kashmiris’ struggle for securing their right to self-determination.

Petition in IOJK High Court

Noted human rights activist, Muhammad Ahsan Untoo, also has filed a petition in the High Court of IIOJK.

He is seeking re-opening of the case of killing of 53 civilians in Gaw Kadal in 1990.

Moreover, he is seeking reopening of scores of other cases of human rights violations by Indian troops in the occupied territory.

On the other hand, the Chairman of Jammu and Kashmir Peoples Association, Aquib Wani, wrote a letter to the US President Joe Biden.

Notably, he sought his attention towards grim human rights situation in IIOJK.
