Minister wants rationalizing salaries and pensions of employees.

Finance Minister Hammad Azhar has emphasized the need for rationalizing the salaries, pensions, allowances and perks of employees.

He called for this, while talking to Chairperson of Pay and Pension Commission Nargis Sethi.

The latter called on him in Islamabad on Tuesday.

Hammad recommended that rationalization may take place through removing anomalies to ensure equity.

The Finance Minister also stressed to find a transparent, feasible and sustainable way forward.

Hammad Azhar said the Pay and Pension Commission has a very challenging task ahead.

The Federal and Provincial government employees are looking forward with great hope towards the recommendations of the commission.

Meanwhile, the Chairperson updated the Finance Minister about the consultative process. They are following it to ensure all stakeholders on board in working out a financially viable solution for disbursement of Pay and Pensions.
