Speakers says Constitution of Pakistan provides protection and equal rights to every citizen.

National Assembly speaker Asad Qaiser stated this in his message on the occasion of 48th Constitution Day of Pakistan.

Pakistanis observe the Constitution Day across the country on this day every year.

He further noted it as our foremost responsibility to uphold the sanctity of the Constitution.

The Speaker National Assembly underlined also a responsibility of the current political leadership to implement the Constitution.

He also urged them to ensure that all the federating units have the powers enshrined in the Constitution.

Asad Qaiser said the incumbent government is striving hard to ensure protection of the rights of the people as per the Constitution.

Meanwhile, Deputy Speaker National Assembly Qasim Khan Suri also issued a message on the day.

He said the supremacy of the constitution can put the country on the path of development.
