The UN Economic and Social Council also stressed for solidarity among states to recover from financial recession in the wake of COVID-19 pandemic.

Economic and Social Council’s Forum on Financing for Development meeting virtually held in New York.

At the conclusion, it issued a declaration that included aforesaid demand.

Meanwhile, President of the Council and Pakistan’s permanent Representative to the United Nations ambassador Munir Akram also spoke.

He emphasized the need for undertaking global recovery from COVID-19 pandemic urgently and comprehensively.

Moreover, he also noted that would restore us on the path of sustainable development.
