DC Lahore issued the notification of Khadija Shah’s detention

Lahore; The Deputy Commissioner (DC) of Lahore on Friday issued a 30-day arrest warrant against fashion designer Khadija Shah under the Maintenance of Public Order Ordinance (MPO) in connection with the May 9 incident.

DC Rafia Haider issued a notice and said that Shah was arrested as she could disrupt the law and order situation again. The decision came after a fashion designer arrested for setting a police car on fire during the May 9 riots was granted bail.

“Shah was arrested on the recommendation of Superintendent of Police (SP) Kant and District Intelligence Bureau,” it added.

The notification also states that on May 9, when Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leader Imran Khan was arrested in connection with the Al Qadir Trust case in Lahore, Shah They are also said to have been involved in violent protests.
