Snowfall, rain to continue in Murree, KP for next 24 hours: PMD

Rain and snowfall is continue in different parts of the country, including Balochistan, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Gilgit Baltistan and Murree for the last two days.

Several link roads have been closed at different places, roofs, walls, trees were uprooted and several incidents of landslides were reported in these areas.

Snowfall has started in Murree after two days of rain. The Meteorological department has forecast more snowfall and rain in Murree during the next 24 hours.

After rain and snowfall in Balochistan, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Azad Kashmir, the intensity of cold has increased. Following rain and snowfall in various districts of Gilgit-Baltistan, including Diamer, Ghizer, Astore and Skardu, the Karakoram Highway has been closed at many places, including the upper areas.

On the other hand, in the Neelum Valley of Azad Kashmir, several buildings including a two-storey residential house collapsed due to landslides. Several link roads have been closed due to snowfall and landslides in many cities including Muzaffarabad, Bagh.

Due to heavy snowfall in Swat, several connecting roads of various areas including Kalam and Malam Jabba have been completely closed, due to which the stranded tourists are facing problems.
