Palestinian flag raised in French parliament
The Palestinian flag has been raised during a session in the lower house of the French parliament.
According to the French media, Sebastian Delagu, a left-wing’s member of parliament, raised the Palestinian flag and drew the attention of the house towards the situation in Gaza.
As soon as Sebastian Delagu held up the Palestinian flag, the Speaker of the parliament declared the act unacceptable and adjourned the session.
Later, parliament member Sebastian Delugu, who waved the Palestinian flag, was suspended for 15 days.
Speaking to journalists, Sebastian Delugu said that he raised the Palestinian flag in the national assembly because France was selling arms to the Israeli army, which is committing a genocide in Palestine.
Earlier, a number of Italian opposition lawmakers brandished Palestinian flags during a dialogue pertaining to the crisis in the Middle East.
