Did Kumar Sanu sing a song for Imran Khan’s release?

Legendary singer Kumar Sanu, who has performed in countless Bollywood films in the past, has said that he never sang a song for Pakistan’s former prime minister Imran Khan.

The Indian singer released his explanatory statement on the photo and video sharing platform Instagram in which he denied singing the song for Imran Khan.

Kumar Sanu shared a screenshot of a news published in Indian media which had a fact check and stated that Kumar Sanu did not sing for Imran Khan.

The singer wrote in his post: “I want to clarify that I have never sung any song for the former prime minister of Pakistan.”

The singer wrote: “The audio circulating on Facebook is not mine but is generated with the help of AI (Artificial Intelligence). Some people are trying to defame me, so I want to tell my fans this.” The news (song) is fake, it is a lie’.

He requested to the government of India that it is a serious misuse of technology so immediate steps should be taken to stop the misuse of AI and the use of deepfake technology.

It should be noted that on July 26, a user shared a video on Facebook in which Kumar Sanu was singing a song at a concert for the release of former prime minister Imran.
