Dollar rate in Pakistan today – August 23, 2024

USD TO PKR
The Pakistani rupee (PKR) appreciated by 16.65 paisa against the US dollar in interbank market to settle the trade at PKR 278.5 per USD, compared to previous closing of 278.67.
In the open market, exchange companies quoted the dollar at 279.08 for buying and 280 for selling.
On a weekly basis, the home unit gained 4 paisa against USD.
PKR gained 96.55 paisa against the Euro, closing at 309.68 compared to the previous value of 310.65.
Gold rates
The price of gold in Pakistan continue its up words trajectory on the second successive day as prices sour another Rs200 on Friday.
According to the All Pakistan Gems and Jewellers Association, gold rose to a record-high Rs262,000 per tola.
The price of 10 grams of gold swelled by Rs172 as it is being retailed at Rs224,623, while the price of silver per tola is stable at Rs 2,950.
Apart from this, the price of gold per ounce has been fixed at $2492 an ounce after falling $ 12 during the day in the global market.
It should be noted that yesterday, the level of Rs 2800 per tola in Pakistan increased by Rs800.
