Israel faces shortage of air defence missiles: report

Israel is grappling with a severe shortage of interceptor missiles for its air defense system, according to recent reports.
Dana Stroul, a former senior US defense official said, “Israel’s munitions issue is serious. If Iran responds to an Israel attack with a massive air strike campaign, and Hezbollah joins in too, Israel’s air defenses will be stretched.”
To address the shortfall, the US is providing Israel with the Terminal High-Altitude Area Defense (THAAD) system.
Hezbollah’s deputy secretary general has warned that the Israeli regime’s “occupation” poses a threat not only to Palestine but to the entire region and the world.
