Further drop in Karachi temperature from Saturday: Met Office

The Meteorologist Department has said that the intensity of cold is expected to increase again in Karachi on Saturday.

The city is likely to see a slight reduction in cold intensity during the next few days, with minimum mercury 13 degrees and maximum of 27 degrees can be recorded.

The weather department said that the intensity of cold is expected to increase again in Karachi on Saturday. The new system entering the country today may cause rain in Balochistan and after the exit of the system from Balochistan, Karachi may be affected by cold winds.

In a statement, it said that during the new cold wave in Karachi, the minimum mercury may record 6 degrees in single digit and the new cold wave may last for a week.

Chief Meteorologist Sardar Sarfraz said that there is no possibility of breaking the previous record in Karachi as the record of zero mercury was recorded in January 1934.
