Indian cricket team’s young batter Tilak Varma has set a unique world record in T20 Internationals.
India defeated England by 2 wickets in the second match of the 5 T20I series in Chennai after a thrilling encounter.
India completed England’s target of 166 runs in the last over thanks to Tilak Varma’s brilliant batting.
Left-handed batsman Tilak Varma played an unbeaten innings of 72 off 55 balls to give his team a 0-2 lead in the series against England.
Varma created a unique world record in T20 Internationals thanks to his 72 not out innings against England in the second T20I.
He became the highest run-getter in T20 Internationals in most innings without getting out.
He scored a total of 318 runs without getting out in the last 4 innings, including 2 brilliant centuries.
The score of Tilak Varma’s last 4 T20 innings is as follows (72, 19, 120, 107), he remained not out in all these innings.
Earlier, the record for most runs without getting out in T20 Internationals was held by New Zealand’s Mark Chapman, who scored a total of 271 runs without getting out in 2023.
The third T20I of the series between India and England will be played on Tuesday.
