Trump may not intervene to get PTI Founder freed – courtesy MBS

There is no serious reaction is expected from US President Donald Trump with regard to release of jailed PTI founder.
Sources confided this scribe that the Pakistan government has carried out some pre-emptive work amid speculations that Trump will put pressure for the release of PTI Founder.
Earlier, Richard Grenell, a close confidante of Donald Trump, had demanded the release of PTI Founder last November. The post soon went viral.
The same day, in another since-deleted tweet, Richard Grenell wrote, “Watch Pakistan. Their Trump-like leader is in prison on phony charges, and the people have been inspired by the US Red Wave. Stop the political prosecutions around the world!”
Both the tweets garnered hundreds of thousands of views.
Later, another Republican and a former Trump nominee for attorney general Matt Gaetz also wrote, “Free PTI Founder”.
However, Pakistan has used the good offices of Saudi Arabia’s de facto ruler Mohammed bin Salman to prevent any possible reaction or pressure from Trump who returned to the White House on January 20 after winning November elections.
On the other hand, some political pundits still believe that the US president may demand a release of former prime minister PTI Founder in a social media tweet. Others said that even in that case too, there will be no serious repercussions of the social media tweet from the US president.
Mohammed bin Salman has reportedly settled the matter between Pakistan and the Trump administration with regard to the cricketer-turned-politician.
