The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) on Friday issued recovery timeline of opener Saim Ayub, who ruled out from the upcoming tri-nation series and the ICC Champions Trophy.

The left hander suffered ankle injury during the second South Africa Test and has been out of action since.

According to the PCB Saim Ayub is progressing well in his recovery from a right ankle fracture and will continue his rehabilitation in England.

“Following comprehensive MRI scans, X-rays, and medical assessments, Saim has been ruled out for 10 weeks from the date of injury (3 January),” read the press release.
